These two tracks almost seem as if they were made for each other, especially when you get to the horn section/”la la la” part. What’s so funny in this era of music videos is that I hadn’t ever really seen the video for London Bridge. I have seen pictures of Fergie. So, to actually see her in motion is, strangely enough, a big let down. She looks dumb, like a dumb porn star. Which is too bad, because I really do like the song.

I laughed the whole time. This is great! It’s the scene from Rocky 3 where Rocky’s announcing his retirement and Mr. T interrupts, only the video is from old Superfriends and Mr. T cartoons!

Best. Mashup. Evar. Hands down my favorite. This was the first mashup I ever heard where I had a “mashup moment”, which is when the whole is greater than the sum of its parts and puts a delirious grin of joy on your face.

Special treat for you today. I searched me up some mashups involving Public Enemy, one of the best hip hop artists of all time. Probably the cleverest of the bunch is the Blues Traveler/Public Enemy mashup. As you can see, I’m all about YouTube custom players. You can do some cool things with these like custom colors and thumbnails for all the videos in a single playlist.
